Well I'm a third of the way through the month and only behind by, oh thirteen-thousand words or so. I got off to a rocky start when my seasonal job scheduled me for all of this mandatory overtime. The paycheck will be nice...my novel, not so much.
That said, I do not abandon hope. My novel is still clawing at me from the inside of the creative side of my mind. I just need to give it a transmission portal to drain all of the adventure out of it and fill the screen of my HP with it's escapist thrills.

The Last Mayan NaNoWriMo for 2012!
Well, I am officially a greater masochist than I ever thought possible. Evident by ME undertaking the task of writing an entire novel in a month. In NOVEMBER. Not only is it the birth of the "Holiday" season but it is the LAST NOVEMBER EVER! According to the Mayan calendar. Last year I completed my novel for NaNoWriMo for the first time, but I had much more free time to invest on attending write-ins and pouring over my laptop in a creative frenzy. I also had more time to work on editing and re-writes afterward (which I didn't utilize at all). This year? Not so much, I believe I have until December 21st or 22nd before our current epoch dies and civilization falls. So get ready to live like were gonna die young. (Thanks Ke$ha). This year is also a greater challenge as I will be juggling it with classes that wont matter after the apocalypse, as well as a full-time job that required mandatory overtime.
Despite the impossibility of this venture and my precarious position on that glass precipice, I still have a burning drive and a dream that I will make it to the end because this is a story I'm really excited to tell. So wish me luck and feel free to jump in on this bandwagon 'cause there's plenty of room. I'm turning into a writer come Hell or high Holy Water!
